About the role
Mile High Kids Collective runs Little Medical School programs across the South Denver metro, teaching kids ages 4-12 what doctors, nurses, and veterinarians actually do. We're looking for two or three reliable part-time instructors to join our team for our 12-week fall season.
Our fall season starts in mid-September, and paid training begins in mid-August. Candidates must be able to commit to the full 12-week season, with the option to continue teaching after the season ends.
The job is simple: you show up at an elementary school, daycare, or rec center with a bin of real medical equipment, including stethoscopes, reflex hammers, blood pressure cuffs, and kid-sized lab coats, and you run a 60-minute class that we've already written for you. Kids listen to their own heartbeats, practice taking pulses on stuffed animals, learn what an X-ray is, and have a blast pretending to be doctors. You do not need a medical background. We train you on the curriculum and give you everything you need.
Most shifts begin between 2:15 and 3:15 PM on weekdays and run for about an hour. This is a great fit for stay-at-home parents with school-age kids, college students, teachers looking for side income, retired educators, and healthcare workers who want something different on their off days. Children of instructors receive a 100% discount on Little Medical School programs, space permitting.
